TRACES hosted an Information Session at Massey University, in the New Zealand city of Palmerston North, marking another milestone in our quest to promote transdisciplinary research all over the world. The students met this session with quiet curiosity and interest, yearning to have their voices heard by researchers across the world.
We began the meeting by telling our friends the aim of the conference: To strengthen undergraduates to think beyond the bounds of their fields, to uncover the truths of this world together, and to have their findings published in ISBN-registered proceedings. We then showed them a sample of what Professor Cha had done, to show what cross-field work can look like. Many students present were very interested in what they could achieve with our conference, hopeful to join either this year or in coming conferences or activities.
A word by a member of our external communications board, Alexander May, “This is a good beginning to a great work that will surely help the careers of countless scholars in the years to come.” He is a graduate of Massey University, and an organizer of this meeting alongside Damien Shum. May also added that “I’m grateful to help my juniors at my university to begin their scholarly careers. It is by meetings of great minds that the world advances.”
